On October 30, 2025, an FAA-certified pilot was operating a 4K Mavic 3 drone near Castle Hot Springs, Arizona, when they captured footage of an unidentified flying object racing silently across the desert sky.
The footage shows a light orb moving at high speed with no visible means of propulsion. The object appeared to change shape and roll mid-flight. Notably, there was little to no wind on that day—the lack of plant movement in the footage confirms this.
Shortly after the object passed, a high-altitude fighter jet appeared to pursue it. The drone operator chose not to follow the UFO as doing so would have caused loss of signal due to the mountain ridge.
The drone was flown legally at approximately 300 feet AGL (Above Ground Level) on top of a mountain ridge by an FAA-certified pilot.
